What is the Sourland Hills Actors Guild?

• A non-profit 501c3 organization located in the Skillman area of Somerset County, New Jersey created to promote interest in theater, funded through membership, corporate sponsorship, public and private donations, program ad sales, workshop fees and ticket sales

• Composed of volunteers

• A venue for theater performance in the local community 

The Sourland Hills Actors Guild provides: 

Everyone...

• opportunity for all area children and adults to audition and perform

• performance experience with musical professionals, including a live professional orchestra

• the chance to work behind-the-scenes - including lighting, costumes, sound, props, set design/construction, publicity, etc.

Our area youth...

• self confidence

• vocal, acting and dancing experience

• a project in which they can work alongside their parents as actors or behind-the-scenes

• an understanding of working together as a team towards a common goal

• the delight of hearing an audience enjoy and appreciate their hard work

Our audience...

• low-cost access to the performing arts for all to enjoy a "night at the theater"

• the distinct pleasure of seeing live theater performed by community members, making it a more personal experience for those attending
